Chlorendic Polyester Resin
Product Description
SWANCOR 997 is a low viscosity unpromoted chlorendic polyester resin, designed for highly corrosive resistance applications. SWANCOR 997 is particularly suitable for use in demanding and aggressive chemical environment containing chlorine, which presents highly oxidizing tendency. It also retains excellent mechnical strength at high temperature. With excellent heat resistance, it can be used for fume and gas environment up to 175oC, meanwhile it provides excellent flame retardancy.
Applications
• Chemical environment against high temperature wet chlorine gas, hydrochloric acid, salt solutions, concentrated sulfuric acid (wt% over 70%), phosphoric acid, chlorinated wax, isopropylene and sulfur dioxide etc. FRP parts include chemical storage tanks, pipes, fume gas desulfurizing systems (FGD), scrubbers and ducts etc.
• Corrosion resistance flooring while incorporated with aggregates.
Fabrication Methods
• Can be easily applied by hand lay-up laminating, spray-up, pultrusion, RTM, and filament winding.
• Can be used in polymer concrete casting.
